Luke lives in the future where food is needed and third children are against the law, but the problem is that Luke is a third child! The Book Among the Hidden by Margaret Haddix, 160 pages, is about a boy named Luke who lives on farm, and can do any thing he  pleases until the Barrons(wealthy people) move in. Luke looses his freedom to gooutside from his parents. If he is spotted the population police would put him to death. One day he thinks he sees another third child in a Barrons house. Is it a trick or is it really a third child? .Luke shows patience but becomes more aggravated though out the story. It’s a great start to a series.
