He befriends a pauper named  Moishe the Beadle who warns the town that the Nazi's are deporting and murdering the jews. Does his family listen to Moshe's warnings  and leave or go about their business? Does the family take their servant Marthas offer to hide the family in the village ?  The book ends with the family being deported to Auschwitz and Eliezer experiencing so much tragedy. Eliezer shows strength and will to survive. The book is a reminder to all to never underestimate what man is capable of doing.

She gets accused of trying to find shadow children and gets arrested by the population police, and was given a choice.  She was told to make three inmates admit they are shadow children and be let go. If she refused she would get killed. She shows braveness and trickery throughout the story. It is an exciting read!

Is it a trick or is it really a third child? .Luke shows patience but becomes more aggravated though out the story. It’s a great start to a series.
